Data must be added in the correct order or you may have to edit a record again after creating prerequisite records.

Pathogens

Review the Pathogen List. If the pathogen does not exist, the following records must exist before adding a new Pathogen:

• Host (common name)

1. Review the Host List, if the host does not exist, add the new Host.
2. Once the Host has been found or added, add the new Pathogen.

Sample Reports

Review the Sample List, if the Sample Record # does not exist, the following records must exist before adding a new sample:

• Locality
• Host (common name)
• Pathogen

1. Review the Locality List, if the locality does not exist, add the new Locality.
2. Review the Host List, if the host does not exist, add the new Host.
3. Review the Pathogen List, if the pathogen does not exist, add the new Pathogen.
4. Once the Locality, Host and Pathogen have been found or added, add the new Sample.

Images

Before an image can be added, the following data should exist:

• Personnel
• Host, Sample, or Pathogen, depending on the content of the image.

1. Review the Personnel List, if the user does not exist, add the new Personnel.
    
2. Once the Host, Sample or Pathogen have been found or added, add the new Image.
