Chloromyxum is a genus of myxozoan parasite, most commonly found in the gall bladder or kidney of infected fish. This parasite does not appear to cause significant disease to its host, even when high numbers of spores are present. Spores are shed in urine/feces, and can then infect the parasite's alternate, invertebrate host (probably an oligochaete worm). |
