Bacterial septicemia with typical external disease signs being hemorrhaging at the base of the fins and vent, raised lesions in muscle (furuncules) and a blue streak across the eye. Internally, organs may be hemorrhaged and the spleen enlarged. Disease outbreaks in salmonid culture generally occur when water temperatures are warm. |
